‘Home’ is based on the personal experiences and memories of people who have moved from their place of origin to settle in the Black Country. Scriptwriter John Edgar’s research began with the BE-ME archive. The BE-ME website led him to other internet-based resources and inspired his own research into the diverse communities of Wolverhampton and Walsall. Edgar called on local community groups and held interviews with area residents and personal acquaintances to listen to their stories about coming to the Black Country.
