Gazebo Theatre Presents Home tells the
story of ‘Home,’ a theatre-in-education piece produced
by Gazebo T.I.E. Company and inspired by the stories of
migration and settlement preserved in the Black and Ethnic
Minority Experience (BE-ME) Foundation’s audio visual
oral history archive. The interactive cd-rom features in-depth
interviews with the production team, footage of live performances
and workshops and reactions to the production from Year
3 students in primary schools across Wolverhampton and
Walsall.
Gazebo Theatre Presents Home is a unique and valuable
resource that introduces teachers and young learners to
theatre-in-education and the BE-ME Foundation. Interactive
features and downloadable programmes invite you to witness
the value of theatre-in-education and uncover new ways
to access key areas of the national curriculum through
history resources such as BE-ME.
Gazebo Theatre Presents ‘Home’ represents
the joint efforts of Gazebo T.I.E and the BE-ME Foundation
and was produced by Light House Media Centre in 2004.
