2002 at Light House situated in the Chubb Buildings, Fryer
Street, Wolverhampton, WV1 1HT from 6.30 to 7.30 pm
Come and find out what BE-ME has been doing
BE-ME (Black and Ethnic Minority Experience) project has been
running since 1998. With over 100 interviews recounting the
experiences of the African Caribbean and Asian settlement
in the Wolverhampton area during the 1950's and 60's. Several
exciting learning interactive audio-visual packages have been
created and a website established. BE-ME is being recognised
as an important resource and is putting Wolverhampton in the
forefront in building harmonious relationships in multi-ethnic
Britain.
and. . . How you can be involved in its future
BE-ME needs to belong to the people of Wolverhampton and be
responsive to those whose stories currently make up the unique
archive and to generations to come that will influence the
direction BE-ME takes in the future.
